What We Believe
God
There is one true God who exists in three persons - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:18-19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Hebrews 1:1-4)
Jesus
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, Truly God - Truly Man, born of the virgin Mary, who came into this world to live the life we could never live, and died the death that we deserved (the Cross), for the glory of God and for the redemption of all people for all time, that those who believe would surrender their lives and put their trust in Him.
Philippians 2:5-8, Luke 2:40, John 1:1-5, Hebrews 4:15
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit permanently lives in every believer providing assurance, strength, and wisdom. He also uniquely gives each believer gifts for the building up of His church. John 16:7-11, 1 Corinthians 12:13, Ephesians 4:30
Scripture
We believe that the Bible is the inherent, inspired, and infallible Word of God revealed to mankind. It consists of 66 total books, letters, and writings, all living and active, which are the foundation of how to live each day through a biblical world view.
2 Timothy 3:16-17, Romans 15:4
Sin
Sin the fallenness of mankind through the breaking of the promise of God through the Garden from Adam and Eve, which has shattered man's relationship. Sin is the rebellion, rejection, and resistance of every human heart towards God that we are born with: original sin. This makes us enemies of God, of which they is no amount of deeds or credit that can earn our way back to Him. It is only through being reconciled through Christ Jesus through a personal relationship with Him that we are made new from our former life.
Genesis 3
Salvation
Salvation (the forgiveness of sins) is not linked to church membership, works, good deeds, heritage, or genealogy, but rather that we are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. We believe becoming a Christian is only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Romans 5:6-9, Galatians 3:13-14, John 1:12, John 3:16, Romans 3:23-25, John 3:1-15, John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:17-20
The Church
We believe that the Church exists to glorify God through communally living out faith in Jesus as one body, of which they are many members, and who continuously grow to reflect who God is and bring Him glory, honor, and praise through serving in the kingdom.
Matthew 16:18-19, Acts 2:41-47, 1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 1:22-23
Baptism
We believe that baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper are the two ordinances of the church. (Matthew 28:19, Luke 22:14-23, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
