Weeknight Small Groups

 

Nearly Wed and Newlyweds-Beginning on Tuesday, May 4th this group will begin meeting in members' homes.  Check back for more information or contact Mike Lewis at BHBC for more information! 

 

9:15 Small Groups (All meet on Sunday morning)

 

Nearly Wed and Newlyweds - This group is currently in a transition period.  We celebrate that they recently decided to divide and form a new group that meets on Tuesday nights (see above)!  For those who would still like a Sunday morning option, the "Young Married" and "Not So Newlywed" groups welcome you to join them.  Our intention is to begin another newlywed group in August.

 

Cross His Line - Barry and Stacy Tidrow are excited to be following God's leadership as they continue their ministry to singles.  This small group meets at Fuddrucker's at 9:15 each Sunday.  A shuttle is available to and from Fuddrucker's from our main campus.  There is a large group lesson followed by prayer and discussion in age-graded care groups (20s, 30s, 40s, etc...).

 

Young Married — Patrick & Micah Aten, Directors.  Meets in the FLC (gym).

This class is for newlyweds and young married couples. Most members are just beginning their families.
 
Not-So-Newlyweds— Matt & Rebekah Miller, Directors;  Nathan Hoover, Lead Teacher.  Meets in the FLC (gym).
 
The age range for this class is late 20’s through early 30’s. Many have preschool children and are growing their families.
 
The Neighborhood—Mark & Jennifer Finkner, Directors.  Todd Duncan, Lead Teacher.  Meets in room LL10.
Class members are married couples generally in their 30’s and 40's, and are dedicated to building authentic relationships and serving intentionally. 

 

Married Older 30’s—Kirk & Jinnifer Killough, Directors.  Meets in room LL20.
The age range for this class is late 30’s and beyond with the common factor of children who are in late elementary or middle school range.
 
40’s (Parents of youth) - Max & Gail White, Directors.  Meets in room LL11.
Many in this class have older teenage children, generally high school or college, but not quite yet empty nest! Check out our link to our blog here!
 
Boomers—Mark & Cindy Willis, Directors.  Meets in the Fellowship Hall.
This class can be described as “boomers” in age, and have entered the empty nest stage of their lives.
 
Travelers (All ages) -Facilitated by Mike & Kristen Lewis.  Meets at 5019 53rd St. in a home owned by Bacon Heights.
This small group is designed to provide current members of BHBC a way to re-connect after serving in other areas.  Of course, guests and new members are welcome as well.  Beginning in January 2010, this group will begin a year long survey of the Old Testament called Yahweh: Divine Encounters in the Old Testament.  Members are expected to be in the Word and living it out during the week-Sundays are an opportunity to learn from each other and encourage others along the journey toward Christlikeness.

This is a mixed class with couples and singles, and offers an 8:00 a.m. “early bird” option.
 
50+ Ladies—Sandy Smith, Director
This class consists of ladies of varied ages.
 
60+ Agape— Gib & Sarah Weaver, Directors
This is a mixed class with couples and singles.
 
70+ Open Door—George & Ruth Hughes, Directors
This is a mixed class with couples and singles, and offers an 8:00 a.m. “early bird” option.
 
80+ Ladies—Gertrude Crocker & Velma Baker, Directors.
This class offers love, support, and fellowship for its members.
